KUALA LUMPUR: Pengguna kad pengeluaran wang automatik (ATM) diingatkan supaya berwaspada dan tidak menyerahkan sebarang butir peribadi kepada individu tidak dikenali bagi mengelakkan ditipu sindiket tertentu yang memperdaya orang ramai termasuk pelajar untuk menyerahkan kad berkenaan sebagai akses transaksi perniagaan.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Gabungan Persatuan Pengguna Malaysia (Fomca), Datuk Paul Selvaraj berkata, langkah itu perlu kerana kad ATM berkenaan adalah hak peribadi seseorang dan ia tidak boleh diserahkan kepada orang lain termasuk segala butiran peribadi memungkinkan segala transaksi pengeluaran dilakukan.

PETALING JAYA, March 19 — Any increase in taxi fares should be fair to both the drivers and consumers, said Federation of Malaysian Consumer Associations (Fomca) president Datuk Dr Marimuthu Nadason.

“It is not the right time for an increase, but we have to understand fares have not been increased for years. Taxi drivers also need to survive because the cost of living is rising,” he said.

PETALING JAYA: The Pan Malaysian Bus Operators Association calls for a National Transport Policy to improve the services of public transport.

In a joint press conference with the Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca), its president Datuk Mohamad Ashfar Ali said the policy would serve as an indicator of how public transport operators should run their services.

"With the policy, we will know clearly what is expected from us. Passengers would also know what they can expect from us.
